Melbourne Part 1

We arrived in Melbourne and Lee & Ange you will be pleased to learn we stayed in St Kilda. In Thailand we made friends with a Hobbit (James) and his lovely girlfriend Lara and he kindly offered to put us up for a couple of weeks in his home town. Along with us POMS at the Dicko hostel.com were three beautiful Swedes. As you can imagine Mike found it really hard going having to look at such beauty's!! We had such an awesome time mostly thanks to our mini tour guide Dicko. As you can see Mike had is drinking partner back and it was all steam ahead with the Magners!!

Mr Hobbit Head is a teacher and as it was Easter he invited us to help make bunny ears with his class. We then had a party and you guessed it the dress code was bunny ears!! Here is me & the lovely Lara and the beautiful Swedes it was so nice to have girls to talk to instead of my wonderful husband , it has been 5 months nearly!!

Here we are on another night out!
Kingy & me being silly.

West to East

Our last destination on the West Coast was Esperance, the place has the most amazing beaches, I know we have said this about lots of places but seriously this place is awesome just take a look and there is nobody on the beach!!

We left and made the long three day journey across the Nullarbor Plain to Adelaide. The roads go on forever and ever and ever. Travelling from Perth to Adelaide is like driving from London to Moscow!! Check out the sign beware of Camels, Emus and Kangaroos!!

It was one hell of a drive but a great road trip and I drove the longest stretch of straight road in Australia, 99 miles! We arrived in Adelaide and to be honest there isn't much there so we didn't take any photos. It is a nice place but not much to see or do therefore we continued our road trip to The Great Ocean Road.

Here are the 12 Apostles, unfortunately we had crap weather but it was really cool to see.

The drive was spectacular and we could of swapped our Buzzer for a convertible! We stopped in some small towns along the way which reminded us of St Ives ahhhh home. Our next stop is Melbourne and we are staying with some friends so Buzzer can have a well earned rest for a couple of weeks.

Margaret River

Fantastic beaches, wineries, a cheese and chocolate factory all make up Margaret River. From only seeing brown, brown and more brown landscape our surroundings have been turned into lush green forests and stunning wineries like this one.

We couldn't be in Oz much longer without taking part in a wine tour. Our tour was called ' Wine for Dudes' and you must agree we are so dudes now!! Check us out making our own red wine!

The day basically included visiting wineries and sampling lots of wine with a a lush picnic in between. What more could you want?

We both drank loads and the best day out that as you can imagine continued way into the evening and renditions of the running man!!
