Whitsunday Magic!!! - Wow

We decided to book a 3 day sailing trip on board the beautiful tall ship the Whitsunday Magic. It was one the best weekends we have ever had, we had amazing food cooked by a real chef, slightly different to what we can russel up in the camper!!!! but also fantastic company. We met loads of great people of all ages from a vegetarian butcher, to 3 old lady's properly backpacking - your never too old. There were South Africans, Kiwis, Ozzy's, Irish, Canadian and of course us Poms. We have kept in touch with some of them and are hoping to catch up again on our travels.

Relaxing on deck!!

Queensland

We have decided to bypass Sydney and head straight for the 'Sunshine' state of Queensland as we will be spending a few weeks in Sydney before we leave as we have to say goodbye to 'Buzzer' - its going to be emotional!!!! However we did stay in Port Stephens just north of Sydney and has the most awesome sunsets and sand dunes.

Heading for the sunshine coast we believed it would be beach, beach, beach but for the first time in our trip( I know not bad eh!) we had a week of rain. So here is Mike is Brisbane but we are going to stop by on the way back down the coast and have another look around.

So rain, rain, rain we had a day tip to Lone Pine Sanctuary - amazing. We so loooooooove Kolas and Roos take a look!

Here is a sunset at Noosa, stunning place.....

....here is a night out and look at the muscles on this bouncer ( you don't see him on the barbie)almost as big as my heeead, just had to get a pic, nice sweat patch!!!!

Melbourne Part 1

We arrived in Melbourne and Lee & Ange you will be pleased to learn we stayed in St Kilda. In Thailand we made friends with a Hobbit (James) and his lovely girlfriend Lara and he kindly offered to put us up for a couple of weeks in his home town. Along with us POMS at the Dicko hostel.com were three beautiful Swedes. As you can imagine Mike found it really hard going having to look at such beauty's!! We had such an awesome time mostly thanks to our mini tour guide Dicko. As you can see Mike had is drinking partner back and it was all steam ahead with the Magners!!

Mr Hobbit Head is a teacher and as it was Easter he invited us to help make bunny ears with his class. We then had a party and you guessed it the dress code was bunny ears!! Here is me & the lovely Lara and the beautiful Swedes it was so nice to have girls to talk to instead of my wonderful husband , it has been 5 months nearly!!

Here we are on another night out!
Kingy & me being silly.

West to East

Our last destination on the West Coast was Esperance, the place has the most amazing beaches, I know we have said this about lots of places but seriously this place is awesome just take a look and there is nobody on the beach!!

We left and made the long three day journey across the Nullarbor Plain to Adelaide. The roads go on forever and ever and ever. Travelling from Perth to Adelaide is like driving from London to Moscow!! Check out the sign beware of Camels, Emus and Kangaroos!!

It was one hell of a drive but a great road trip and I drove the longest stretch of straight road in Australia, 99 miles! We arrived in Adelaide and to be honest there isn't much there so we didn't take any photos. It is a nice place but not much to see or do therefore we continued our road trip to The Great Ocean Road.

Here are the 12 Apostles, unfortunately we had crap weather but it was really cool to see.

The drive was spectacular and we could of swapped our Buzzer for a convertible! We stopped in some small towns along the way which reminded us of St Ives ahhhh home. Our next stop is Melbourne and we are staying with some friends so Buzzer can have a well earned rest for a couple of weeks.
