We have arrived in Cape Town!!!

Hello! after a 12 hour flight we were happy to arrive in sunny Cape Town to find that are hostel was lovely and we had a stunning view of Table Mountain, as you can see. I would like to make you all jealous by telling you it has been 30 degrees and we have been sunning ourselves, however that would be a slight lie. The locals use the phrase " Four Seasons In One Day" and we can certainly agree with that. We have been greeted in the morning with burning sunshine, to change to cloudy and freezing cold winds then followed by downpours of rain. If you are coming be prepared!!! However the African people are really friendly and the food and wine is great also and dead cheap.

Thank you so much for all my birthday messages, I had a great day sightseeing and made some Brazilian friends. In the evening we all went to a restaurant called 'Mamma's Africa' to sample some local cuisine and drink wine!,Mike ate Kuddo and I had springbok - delicious! Then the local band got me up for a rendition of Happy Birthday , fab, one to remember!!

Hi Mike and Dan,
One week has gone, 51 left, not as if I'm counting or missing you two!
Cape Town looks lovely and I know you are now getting good weather and topping up those tans. Look forward to receiving the carved wooden elephant that you've bought and sent home. Will look good in my lounge!

Lots of Love
